This piece of high brow literature was chosen on a whim after seeing a trailer for the upcoming movie.

Book #6: "ashamed to mention"

This book is the funniest book I have ever read . Don't feel comfortable putting the actual title , but if anyone cares email . I have been brought to tears on multiple occasions.

Book #5: Friday Night Lights by H.G. Bissinger

I chose this book. I really liked the movie and wanted to get more of the story about what the players went through and how important football was to this small town (both positively and negatively).

Book #4: Steve Jobs Biography by Walter Isaacson

I will be good to know why in 10 years the only cell phone will be an iphone and the only tablet will be the ipad.

Book #3: Once Upon a Secret by Mimi Alford

This book came into the list by accident as a result of 3 hours of extremely productive time.
This book is also referred to as "The JFK skank book" by a another member of this blog.,

Book #2: Slaughterhouse-Five by Kurt Vonnegut

This is our attempt to read something a little more classic.

1yr/25 Books now a Team Effort

My esteemed colleague Melissa Glover has agreed to go for the 25 books in one year as well. We are going to read the same books, this will help greatly in both motivation and accountability.  The only problem is I might have to read a lot of books with a female protagonist.

Then there were 2 ....

We are now up to 3 with a surprise Administrative addition.

This book was suggested by one of my students as the result of a class discussion. I think it tries to find correlations of success.

1 Year - 25 Books

The plan is to read 25 books during the year 2012. 

Since I am a procrastinator I figured I would create this Blog to hold myself accountable to this goal. 

I fully expect that no one will read this Blog, However if someone does stumble across maybe they can have some insights on the books I am reading or suggestions for new books.
